September is National Peace Consciousness month and the United Nations
celebrates September 21 as the International Day of Peace.

In pursuance of promoting public consciousness on peace possibilities
in the country, the Government of the Republic of the Philippines-
Monitoring Committee (GRP-MC) is coming up with a peace photo gallery,
which will be launched within September/October 2006.

GP-MC is inviting students, professionals, photography enthusiasts and
others to submit photo works exploring themes related to peace.

Works can explore answers to questions such as:

How do we achieve peace in the Philippines?
What is your vision of peace?
Where or with what does peace start?
What will make peace possible in the Philippines?

Been to Manila Cathedral for photo shoot. Upon going home, there I saw her.
I’d like to figure out what the child maybe thinking: “Your coins are nothing but a piece of metal. Give me a book and I gain knowledge, will power, and a sense of peace. My peace I give you.”

Education liberates us from poverty and ignorance. Thus a person can appreciate more the value of peace and freedom if he lives with dignity.
