Where is my official photography website?

Long had I not updated my site. Big apologies for the inconvenience. You may wonder why. Well, please allow me to explain.

Here we go… I was supposed to launch a new website – Paul F. Photography. Unfortunately, I did not like the web lay out I have contracted with my web designer. So I decided to put it on hold. Maybe I would release a simpler one. Hopefully, very soon.

Many good things have happened to me in the past months. It seems everyday is a blessing to me. Just this July, I already opened my new business. My site shows what it is. Pretty obvious, it is photography business. I have already accepted wedding and debut photography. Here is the package:

-Unlimited soft copy of photos
-AVP (audio visual presentation)
-Photo album
-Video coverage

Erickson and Emily Wedding,Wedding

For just a minimum of Php 30k you can take home all. Very affordable since I am just new in the business. For simple events, like birthdays, I offer only Php 3k, good for 4 hours. The package only includes unlimited soft copy of the shots. Not bad for my clients. Note, for my close friends, take my service (birthdays only) for free!… Hehe…

Eventually, this is in preparation for the new business which my business partner and I will be opening next year. Photography Studio. We will cater events coverage and photo shoot sessions. I am forwarded for this new business.

For the update, my lending business is still working. Growing and growing and growing. Hmm… I’d like to manage lots of business because of some good purposes. Yes, the proceeds of these endeavors are not just for me and my family alone. I used to help other people too. It has been my passion and secret. Hehe… Though currently, I am slowly divulging this secret to other people so that I can keep up this commitment. Much, so that I can offer bigger help as time goes. I learned this idea from Bo Sanchez I think, if my memory serves me right. That if you disclose your philanthropic activities, you can inspire other people and your commitment and service will even increase eventually.

Anyway, October is the month of Philippine Fashion Week. The theme is Spring Summer 2010. I am honored to be an invite or a guest (not a photog) of the two of the top designers of the Philippines. Namely, Ramon Favila and Simon Ariel Vasquez. Thanks to my good friend, SVP Nick Pelaez – Rotary Club of Cristo Rey, Makati City, for introducing me to these guys. My gratitude is also due to Dhon Jason de Belen, runway2reality.com Founding Editor, for entertaining some of my inquiries.

The event was held at SMX Convention Center, Seashell Drive, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. The attire? Fasionably Chic! Hehe, I just dunno if my attire can be called fashionably chic. It’s for you to judge. Oh well, I just tried so… Hehe…

The event was organized by the Runway Productions, having Joey A. Espino Jr. as the Executive Producer/Director and Audie A. Espino, an Executive Producer as well.

Lay Liturgical Congress

All church servants of the Archdiocese of Manila gathered at SMX Convention Hall, Mall of Asia (MOA) on June 27, 2009. The event was spearheaded by the Arzobispado servants community, under the coordination of Rev. Fr. Genaro “Genie” Diwa. There were 5500 attendees.

Fr. Genie also delivered a discourse on the importance of Sunday in the church. He traced its historical accounts from the old Jewish culture, to Jesus’ era, and to the present times. He critiqued how the laity’s activities during Sundays changed from generation to generation.

Another speaker was Rev. Fr. Godwin Tatlonghari. He discussed the responsibilities of each community in the church. To cite some, altar servers, lectors and commentators, extraordinary ministers (lay ministers), etc.

During the forum, Former Chief Justice Artemio “Art” Panganiban was one of the panelists. He said, “love and justice go hand in hand.” One cannot exist without the other. He testified that before he gives a final court decision, he prays first. He is by the way an extraordinary minister in his parish. The forum was hosted by Sis. Bubbles of DZMM and Rev. Fr. Jason Laguerta, a co-PAGOROPOD (organization of seminarians, Diocese of Sorsogon) member in the seminary then.

The congress was highlighted by the appearance of His Eminence Gaudencio Cardinal B. Rosales. His message, “Without Sunday, we cannot live.” He stressed the meaning of the Pascal Mystery in relation to our day to day lives. He also thanked all servants for offering their time and service to the church.

Photo Shoot Day 1

March 10

I bought a big lobster only for Php 400.00 ($8.1). It weighed 1.4 kls. Not bad.

In the evening, I had my cousin cook simmered it in coconut milk along with unripened jackfruit. Muy delicioso! I spent my dinner at the beach along with my cousins and their families. Hhhmm… I partnered it with grilled fish and pork chop!

A superb night, huh!

Summer 2009: Hongkong or homebound?

January this year… my friend, an aspiring commercial model, and I agreed to spend a vacation in Hongkong, crossing through Macau and Singapore. We already paid our airfare. Unfortunately, her mom did not permit her for the travel. So, I found it also uncomfortable to travel alone. Well… the airfare was non-transferable, non-refundable. It was already forfeited!… The schedule was supposed to be on March 4-13.

Hmm…Maybe we lost some bucks… But I gained another heartwarming vacation when I visited Sorsogon City then.

So here we go!

As soon as I arrived, I paid homage to Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral. My grandfather-priest, Rev. Fr. Lolito Fuentes, was then celebrating the morning daily mass. As far as I am aware, he was tasked to have the cathedral and the convent reconstructed. After the mass, breakfast followed, together with Rev. Frs. Treb Futol and Rowan Gramonte.

Trivia: my deceased father’s name was Pablo and his birthday falls on June 28. The feast day of Sts. Peter and Paul is on June 29. Maybe my granny named him after St. Paul, Spanish of Paul… And!!! My name is Paul!!! But I am not junior, huh! Haha… Hmm, so no wonder my heart is close to this diocese!

Calling all Sorsogon devotees both local and abroad, your diocesan center of praise is in need of financial support. It is almost more than a year and the buildings are not even half-finished.

Come again and follow my trail from March 10 to 13.

The Secret

Barely two years ago, I had met The Secret through the Oprah Winfrey Show. As soon as I opened my eyes in the late morning, I turned on the TV set and it was tuned in to Oprah’s program. She was guesting the people behind The Secret! This intrigued me (and maybe attracted me too) so I then secured a book for my keep. I even have the DVD version!

What is The Secret?

The Secret is simply the secret of the great men and women of all ages. It emphasizes an Eastern Philosophy which adheres to the principle that like attracts likes, thoughts attract similar thoughts, and condition attracts similar conditions. Though many are aware of this principle but only a few practice it. So then it remained a secret in history until The Secret revealed it and proved it. A reason why literally, we can only count through our fingers the number of prosperous and greatly successful people of all times!

It is evident in Psychology that you’re ought to be optimistic rather than pessimistic. Positive thoughts attract events, things, and circumstances of the same frequency level. Negative conditioning, to be specific, always leads to unpleasant results. Napoleon Hill, one of the famous inspirational writers scribed: What the mind can conceive and believe, can be achieved. Keep that in mind.

Simply, if you appreciate all the goodness in life, the more that good things will happen to you. You may not know when or how, but they will just pop up out of nowhere. The Whole Universe will conspire with you and provide you what you have thought of! If you fill your mind with regrets, fears, failures, and all negative thoughts, then you will magnet same occurrences! You will even attract people of the same sentiments!

Every thought is a cause, and every circumstance is just an effect.

Photography has been my passion. Lately, I was inclined into fashion photography. Out of nowhere, here comes Racie. Racie She presented a proposal:

The day I asked extra “bread,” God gave me good friends!

Hu – whhhaaatttt???

Yes! One day, I was praying that I might need an extra “bread”…  The answer was… a friend, Nyle, calling for some help!…

Hehe!… I thought I was the one needing help?!.. Yes, she asked help… But, not for her. It was for a friend.

My office work then started by 6am. So, I had to wake up by 4am to prepare myself… everything! This means I needed to sleep as early as possible. Nyle called at 11pm! I was on my bed already, sleeping. But she and her friend wanted to see me ASAP. I was passing on many alibis so that I won’t see them. Well, I needed to wake early huh!..;-)…  But oddly enough, I still met them. 12am, Chowking.  We talked… and they handed me some papers. Her friend was finishing her thesis so they gave me the piles of papers for a survey. Yes, I needed to conduct the survey at the office and let my co-agents fill out the forms. 120 questionnaires.   Read the rest of this entry »
