Guys I ‘m back!… After an amnesia… hehe just kidding… after a vacation?… nah… maybe I would rather call it a blog regency… a quality time with my girl…hhmmm…

Photobucket

Regency… a term we used in the seminary when seminarians are sent out for a vacation… not the normal vacation that you have in mind… not beach, out of town, or travel…it’s a vacation from being inside the seminary… Thus an exposure to the “outside world.” A time to reflect and discern if priesthood is really for us. You know, there are a lot of challenges… To cite some of the toughest:

* Girls!…

yeah, we could have a girlfriend officially! Unlike when we were in the seminary, we could have a very serious relationship with a girl.

* Normal real life…

Inside, we were bounded with many rules!… everyday!… right the moment we opened our eyes in the morning down to shutting them again at bedtime…my routine is still very fresh in my mind…

———————–

5:30 am – Rising…a bell rings… fix our beddings… shower, call of nature, all of us for 30 minutes!

6:00 am – morning prayer, mass… we wear white cassock or white polo and black pants combination…

7:30 am – breakfast…prayers before and after meal are a must… wash room for teeth brushing and personal necessities…

8:15 am – classes start

10:15 – snacks

Free times are always study time… library, lawn, halls…in high school, no one is allowed to enter the dormitory.  In college, we could… but not allowed to sleep. We could change clothes and proceed to the study hall, library, anywhere around… no chitchatting… rules in high school are stricter than in college…

11:30 am – midday prayer

12:00 pm – lunch… of course prayer before and after meal

12:30 pm – recreation… washroom, personal necessities

1:15 pm – classes resume

4:15 pm – snacks, house cleaning or gardening

4:30 pm – games… basketball, volleyball, chess, table tennis, soccer, pool… visitors are allowed… even girl-friends

5:30 pm – shower

6:30 pm – evening prayer

7:00 pm – dinner… prayers before and after meal… after dinner recreation follows… we can watch TV… chitchatting… girls are a common topic…sshhh…haha

8:15 pm – study period

9:30 pm – night prayer

10:00 pm – lights off

The next day, same schedule follows. During weekend, we are allowed to home-visit. But…but… we are obliged to report to our parish priests!… ehem,, report to girlfriends too!… haha

———————–

Outside, we have to move, act, independently!… personal discipline is needed… it’s hard since we were molded with rules… hard to adjust you know! Just imagine for 8 years! Whew!… mind blowing…

So I had my blog regency for the past long months… though I have a lot of photos collected… I used the moment with my sweet girl… so eventually, she turned out my model for a lot of the shots…

And now, the blog regency is over… and I will try to commit to update my site very often… commonly on photography…

Wait and see…
